Crusaders of the Month

September Crusaders of the Month
Casey Henley (8th) and Chase Mack (1st)

From the Principal

The school office staff regularly receives calls regarding the cafeteria. Parents need to understand that the cafeteria is operated through the state and is not under the auspices of the school administration. Ms. Gwen Klein is the cafeteria manager. I find Ms. Gwen, as she is affectionately known, most cordial in any dealings that I have had with her. She and her staff work hard everyday to collect the fees, serve the meals, and clean the area before they leave. This is no easy task.

Ms. Gwen is supervised through the Diocese of Baton Rouge School Food Service. Food Service provides the menu, controls the portions, and sets cost of the meals under the direction of the state. Cafeteria costs are billed separately from tuition. Ms. Gwen will be happy to answer any questions you might have regarding the cafeteria. She is a very kind and concerned person. She and the ladies (Ms. Barbara and Ms. Linda) have been working together for many years and do an excellent job. Ms. Gwen’s number is 386-8075.

The only time it is necessary for the school administration to become involved in the cafeteria is if the students are misbehaving or if the students have been treated in an unpleasant manner by the staff. Teachers maintain discipline in the cafeteria and I have no doubt that the students are being treated with respect.
