From the Principal
This is the time of year when parents start to assess the schools their children are attending or, in the case of preschoolers and kindergarten, start to think where they might place them for their elementary education. As I have indicated to you in the opportunities I have had to address you over the past year, the most important recruiters for St. Joseph are our parents. It rarely fails when prospective parents come to see the school they mention parents in the school who referred them. Our goal this year was to increase enrollment by twenty students to a total of 320. We have met that goal. The goal next school year is 340. I believe this is realistic considering the number of inquiries we receive regarding the school. However, please know that much will depend on you, our parents. If you have friends, relatives or people at work who you know might be unhappy with the education their children are receiving or families with younger three year olds or preschoolers, let them know about St. Joseph.
On February 18, that is President’s Day, the school will host an Open House. A significant number of parents toured the school last year. Many enrolled their children. I understand this is early. If the occasion arises, seize the moment. We are dependent on you.
I want you as parents to understand that if enrollment is increased, the school will be better able to serve families. A larger base of student population will allow us to offer additional services and to be more competitive with professional salaries.
Thank you in advance for your support.
