From the Principal

Dear Parents,

I hope everyone enjoyed the Fall Fest. A special thanks to those who offered so much of their time and talents towards making it a fun day for the entire school community. Thanks to the Home and School for their work on the Fall Fest and for their efforts at the Sock Hop last Saturday. A significant amount of work goes into these important activities that build community. We invite more parents to participate.

Congratulations to the girls’ volleyball team and their Coach George Waddell for making the NIAL League playoffs. The team was very competitive and worked hard to achieve that success. Thanks to the parents who worked so very hard to make our hosting of this tournament a success.

We also congratulate the Cross Country team for their outstanding success at the NIAL tournament held last evening. A list of our many winners is elsewhere in the bulletin this week. Many thanks to the coaches, Kirk Jackson and Ronald Pembo, for all of their hard work with the students. Our success this year is outstanding.

Yesterday afternoon the bids were opened for the new primary building to be located where the playground is at present. There were five bidders, and the winning bid was submitted by Frank Azanlone Construction, the company that built the new church. Construction is to begin soon with the completion date in June. This building will make a wonderful addition to the school facility. Also, the removal of the Notre Dame Center has been negotiated and that process has begun. We will lose the playground equipment for now and some of the area where the students play will be lost for a time, but the final results of these improvements will be invaluable to the students.
