"Snow Days" Extra Crusader Connection

This publication is an "extra" edition of the Crusader Connection in order to update everyone of the schedule changes this week due to the two snow days when we were unexpectedly out of school on Thursday and Friday, December 11 and 12.

From the Principal

Dear Parents,

Louisiana was blessed with an early Christmas gift of beautiful snow last Thursday and Friday as well as with two “snow days” off from school.

As a result of unexpected days off, many things in the schedule have had to be changed, most noteworthy is the Exam schedule and the Christmas program.

Please read this bulletin carefully to see when both events have been rescheduled.

Although we realize the rescheduling is not convenient for everyone, we are doing what we can in the given situation.

As of this moment, we do not know when or if the snow days will have to be made up. We will publish this important information as soon as it is available to us.

Just a reminder - there is still some time to make a Christmas offering for the Dominican Father. Father Kauchak and Father John serve the school in so many ways. They say Mass, preach to the students, hear their confessions, prepare them for First Communion, and visit classrooms. They are always available when we ask them to be present for some activity. In addition, through the leadership of Father Kauchak, the school is a primary mission of the parish and receives significant support throughout the school year. The Christmas Season is the time to recognize those that do for us. Anyone who wishes to make a monetary gift to the fathers for their service may send it to the office and mark it as such and we will make a presentation to the good fathers at the Christmas
Mass before we leave for the Holiday break.

Thank you.

—Dr. Gerard Toups
