From the Principal

Dear Parents,

Thank you to all parents who were so kind to send us names of families that might be interested in coming to St. Joseph and to everyone who supported the school in the community with kind words.
A huge thanks to those parents who generously gave up personal time to act as guides for the Open House Monday. You all did a masterful job. Overall the day was a great success.
Forty-five families representing fifty-six students toured the facility, met the staff, spoke to school parents, and received an orientation to the academic and religious program of the school.

Today is registration for new families and it looks like it will be positive for the school as we go forward.

Congratulations to the Quiz Bowl Teams that competed in Baton Rouge last Saturday. The Senior Team made up of seventh and eighth graders won their pool and made an excellent show in the semi-finals. Over twenty teams competed.

The Junior Team, composed of fifth and sixth graders, were also very competitive.
We thank those who competed and their parents for representing the school so well. Thank you to Ms. Mims for sponsoring the team and to Mr. Naquin for his able assistance.

If you are to attend the Mardi Gras, please be safe. School will be out Monday and Tuesday but will resume on Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent.

Spring Pictures

Barberito Photographers will be at St. Joseph School on Thursday, February 26, to take spring pictures of the students.

We do not require students to wear uniforms on this day. However, students must dress in a manner which conforms to the school standards, i.e. modest, appropriate, “dressier” picture clothes would be in order. Open toed shoes, backless shoes, Croc-type shoes, and high heeled shoes are NOT appropriate.

The photographer will send home a proof for your consideration of purchase of a package. No money should be sent prior to taking the picture.

Information is included with today’s packet.
