Eighth Grade Trip - Ready to Go!

Eighth Grade Students stop for a quick picture  before boarding the bus on their way to a week of visiting sites in Alabama and Louisiana. Please see the Blogs on their page on this website as well as the Photo Albums page for a lot of pictures taken during the fun-packed trip.

From the Principal

Dear Parents,

Congratulations to the second graders who made their First Communion on Saturday. It was a beautiful ceremony and the church was packed with family and friends. Thank you to Mrs. Dufreche for the wonderful job of preparing our students for this momentous occasion.

The Eighth Grade had a wonderful trip through Alabama touring the Battleship Alabama in Mobile, attending The Three Musketeers play in Montgomery, ice skating and cave exploration in Huntsville, the Ave Maria Grotto in Cullman, and a final day visiting New Orleans. Many, many more activities were enjoyed along the way.

Thank you to Mr. Jay, Mrs. Mercer, and Mrs. Little for accompanying them and bringing them all home safely. A visit to our website is in order to see pictures and read the students’ blogs to understand what a positive experience the trip was.

Finally, there are a couple of items attached regarding the Swine Flu. One is from North Oaks Hospital and one from Sister Michaeline, the Superintendent of Schools for the Diocese of Baton Rouge. Please read these carefully because they contain useful and necessary information.

—Dr. Gerard Toups
