Psalm51
R Be merciful, O Lord, for we have sinned.
Have mercy on me, O God, in Your goodness,
in the greatness of Your compassion wipe out my offense.
Thoroughly wash me from my guilt
and of my sin cleanse me. R
For I acknowledge my offense,
and my sin is before me always:
"Against You only have I sinned,
and done what is evil in Your sight." R
A clean heart creat for me, O God,
and a steadfast spirit renew within me.
Cast me not out from Your presence,
and Your Holy Spirit take not from me. R
Give me back the joy of Your salvation,
and a willilng spirit sustain in me.
O Lord, open my lipe,
and my mouth shall proclaim Your praise. R
From the Principal
Santana Holland, Trent Vinson, and Courtney Balisteri - Fourth Grade students - flash big grins as they begin their Lenten season with ashes on their foreheads.Dear Parents,
Today we celebrated Mass for Ash Wednesday. Ashes were distributed and Father an excellent sermon on the meaning of the ashes and the Lenten preparation for the greatest feast day of the Church Easter Sunday. The church was filled to capacity with the children and parishioners.
We were very disappointed that last Friday we missed the parade. That will not be rescheduled. It would not be appropriate because Mardi Gras has passed and it should not be done during Lent.
I remind you again about Monday and the Open House. We need a couple of more volunteers to help as guides for new parents.
We welcome Mrs. Dyer back to the fold. She was sorely missed by all. She looks great and we all most happy to have her back.
It is a long stretch to the next break. Encourage your child to work hard over the next weeks. Have a space and time away from distractions for each to do homework and offer assistance when needed. When we do these things, we demonstrate to the children that we as parents believe this school work is important.

Prayer for Priests
The Year for Priests 2009-2010Dear Lord,
We pray that the Blessed Mother wrap her mantle around Your priests and through her intercession strengthen them for their ministry.
We pray that Mary will guide Your priests to follow her own words,
"Do whatever He tells you." (Jn 2:5)
May Your priests have the heart of St. Joseph, Mary's most chaste spouse.
May the Blessed Mother's own pierced heart inspire them to embrace all who suffer at the foot of the cross.
May Your priests be holy, filled with the fire of Your love, seeking nothing but Your greater glory and the salvation of souls.
Amen
St. John Vianney, pray for us
