Psalm 90

R. In every age, O Lord, you have been our refuge.

You turn man back to dust,
saying, "Return, O children of men."
For a thousand years in your sight
are as yesterday, now that it is past,
or as a watch of the night.

R. In every age, O Lord, you have been our refuge.

You make an end of them in their sleep;
the next morning they are like the changing grass,
Which at dawn springs up anew,
but by evening wilts and fades.

R. In every age, O Lord, you have been our refuge.

Teach us to number our days aright,
that we may gain wisdom of heart.
Return, O LORD! How long?
Have pity on your servants!

R. In every age, O Lord, you have been our refuge.

Fill us at daybreak with your kindness,
that we may shout for joy and gladness all our days.
And may the gracious care of the LORD our God be ours;
prosper the work of our hands for us!
Prosper the work of our hands!

R. In every age, O Lord, you have been our refuge.

From the Principal

Dear Parents,

Last night the concrete parking across the street from the gymnasium was poured. A small walkway from the primary building to the playground was also built. The majority of the construction cost was provided though school funds. Many of the problems teachers and students were having with mud being tracked into the school will be solved by that work. The area will also provide an excellent area for the fair in the spring.

Three additional staff members were hired over the summer. Mr. Tommy Brehm is the new maintenance man. I have already indicated the great work he performed in preparing the school for the beginning of the school year. Mr. Tommy has many skills including air conditioning and will save the school significant funds in the future. The school also hired a janitorial worker Mr. Joseph Perez. He will also be able to help with any renovation for the main school building. His main skill is as an electrician.

Finally, the school hired an additional aide for the kindergarten classes. Mrs. Dorothy Piazza has a B. S. degree from Southeastern. She is married to Freddy Piazza. They have a daughter Mia in kindergarten. The kinder teachers are most pleased having an aide to help in class.

Again, I remind parents to be attentive to the work their children bring home. Providing a quite place and time to do their homework not only assures that it will be done, but reinforces in children’s minds the importance of their work in school.
