Psalm 44

R. Listen, O daughter, give ear to my words.

Listen, O daughter, give ear to my words:
forget your own people and your father’s house.
So will the king desire your beauty:
He is your lord, pay homage to him.

R. Listen, O daughter, give ear to my words.

The daughter of the king is clothed with splendour,
her robes embroidered with pearls set in gold.
She is led to the king with her maiden companions.

R. Listen, O daughter, give ear to my words.

They are escorted amid gladness and joy;
they pass within the palace of the king.
Sons shall be yours in place of your fathers:
you will make them princes over all the earth.

R. Listen, O daughter, give ear to my words.

From the Principal

Dear Parents,

First, I want to thank all of you again for having your children here at school in a timely manner. Please continue to make that effort. Teachers take attendance, complete the lunch count, then the prayer, Pledge of Allegiance, and announcements for the day are read. Everyone is expected to be in line in the gym when the bell rings at 7:35. Late student arrival requires adjustment to the attendance and lunch count and is most annoying and takes unnecessary time from our busy workday.

Thank you again for you participation in the Papa John’s Pizza night. It took over an hour for the pizza to arrive at my home. The driver said they were extremely busy.

Mid Quarter deficiencies went home today. You can examine your child’s grades everyday on Edline. If your child received a deficiency, please encourage him or her to do their best, and work with your child on a regular basis.

-- Dr. Gerard Toups

The Crusader Dads is a group of dads, grandfathers, and male caretakers trying to get more involved in helping our children by helping our school. Throughout the year, we will help with various events at the school like the Spring Fair. We will also try to complete a few projects at the school like painting, etc. Most importantly, we will get together, meet one another, and have a good time.
We currently have an email list of approximately fifty people. If you would like to get involved, please send us your email address and try to join us on September 20.

SJS/Papa John's

That's the total St. Joseph School received from SJS/Papa John's Pizza night on September 11. It's a new record for St. Joseph!

Thanks to all the many families (we saw you there!) who participated in this fun and easy fund raiser.

The winning classes - it's a tie - are Mrs. Dufreche's second grade and Mrs. Caliva's first grade. Pizza parties will be held for them soon.

We'll do it again in November!
