Psalm 119

R. Your word, O Lord, is a lamp for my feet.

Remove from me the way of falsehood,
and favor me with your law.

R. Your word, O Lord, is a lamp for my feet.

The law of your mouth is to me more precious
than thousands of gold and silver pieces.

R. Your word, O Lord, is a lamp for my feet.

Your word, O LORD, endures forever;
it is firm as the heavens.

R. Your word, O Lord, is a lamp for my feet.

From every evil way I withhold my feet,
that I may keep your words.

R. Your word, O Lord, is a lamp for my feet.

Through your precepts I gain discernment;
therefore I hate every false way.

R. Your word, O Lord, is a lamp for my feet.

Falsehood I hate and abhor;
your law I love.

R. Your word, O Lord, is a lamp for my feet.

Let's Raffle

We at St. Joseph have been given an exciting opportunity to raffle off two LSU v Alabma tickets including a parking pass!

We are asking that our study body get involved by selling ten raffle tickets at $5.00 each. Of course, there will be exciting prizes for the top individual sellers and the classes that sell the most.

Ticket location is in the south endzone, Section 423, Row 23, Seats 1 & 2.

The turn-in date for tickets and all money will be October 24.

The drawing for the winning ticket will be on October 26. The winner need not be present to win.

 The prizes for the top three sellers are:

1st place - 16 x 20 framed photo autographed by both Billy Cannon and Coach Dietzel

2nd place - 8 x 10 framed photo autographed by Patrick Peterson

3rd place - a Jacob Hester autographed mini helmet.

The student that sells the winning ticket will receive an LSU gift basket full of LSU items!

In addition to these individual prizes, a pizza party will be awarded to the class that sells the most tickets.

 Many thanks to Jeff LeSaicherre, Attorney-at-Law, for the donation of the tickets!

 If you need more tickets than what is sent home, please contact the school office.

H&S Meeting - Thursday, October 4

The St. Joseph Catholic School Home & School Association will hold a general membership meeting on Thursday, October 4, beginning at 6:30 in the gym.

Toby Aguillard with the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office will be a guest speaker about internet safety for our children. Let's have a big turnout for this most important information.

No Buses - Friday, October 5

Friday, October 5, is a holiday for public school students.

St. Joseph School will be in session on Friday, October 5.

No buses will run due to the public school holiday. All SJS students will be carpool.

Because of this rare situation, carpool will run on both sides of the main building both morning and afternoon.

Early afternoon dismissal for preK and K students will remain the same.

For those unfamiliar with carpool line, the carpool plan can be found at CARPOOL. Carpool etiquette guidelines can be found at CAR RIDERS.Please scroll to the bottom of this page.

This type of carpool is not a routine for our students. Because so many students will be moving and so many parents will be waiting, please follow all instructions given by the personnel on duty.
If everyone is patient, courteous, and follows directions, carpool will run smoothly and, most importantly, safely.

Thanks to everyone in advance for their cooperation.
