Isaiah 12

R. You will draw water joyfully from the springs of salvation.

God indeed is my savior;
I am confident and unafraid.
My strength and my courage is the LORD,
and he has been my savior.
With joy you will draw water
at the fountain of salvation.

R. You will draw water joyfully from the springs of salvation.

Give thanks to the LORD, acclaim his name;
among the nations make known his deeds,
proclaim how exalted is his name.

R. You will draw water joyfully from the springs of salvation.

Sing praise to the LORD for his glorious achievement;
let this be known throughout all the earth.
Shout with exultation, O city of Zion,
for great in your midst
is the Holy One of Israel

R. You will draw water joyfully from the springs of salvation.

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

The Feast of All Saints is Thursday, November 1. It is a Holy Day of Obligation. The student body from SJS will attend Mass at 8:30. We welcome the preK students as they join us for their first Mass as students.

As part of this celebration, sixth grade students will be included in the opening procession dressed as their favorite saints.

All are welcome to join on at Mass on All Saints Day.

Election Day - Tuesday, November 6

Tuesday, November 6, is an important national election day. There will be no school on this date. Please remember to vote.

Fall Fest

Mr. Jay Naquin, 8th grade homeroom teacher, has been named the St. Joseph School Fall Fest King.

The Fall Fest was held at school on Friday, October 19.

Mr. Jay received his honor by gathering the most votes (@ 25 cents per vote) cast by the student body. The proceeds from the contest will go to support the purchase of books by a school library in LaPlace which was damaged by Hurricane Isaac.

Our royalty was sponsored by the Junior Beta Club.

A great time was had by all of our younger students at the Fall Fest. The older students were very pleased with their bowling trip.

We wish to thank all of our volunteer parents who helped to make this function happen. It couldn't have been done without you! What great parents we have!

More Fall Fest pictures can be seen at FALL FEST..

Calling All Book Fair Volunteers!

SJS will hold its annual book fair on November 12-16, the week prior to the Thanksgiving Holidays.

If you'd like to sign up for a shift (or two, or three), please check the survey in EDLINE for dates and times.

We do appreciate all of your help!
