Psalm 103
R. The Lord’s kindness is everlasting to those who fear him.Bless the LORD, O my soul;
and all my being, bless his holy name.
Bless the LORD, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits.
R. The Lord’s kindness is everlasting to those who fear him.
As a father has compassion on his children,
so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him,
For he knows how we are formed;
he remembers that we are dust.
R. The Lord’s kindness is everlasting to those who fear him.
But the kindness of the LORD is from eternity
to eternity toward those who fear him,
And his justice toward children’s children
among those who keep his covenant.
R. The Lord’s kindness is everlasting to those who fear him.
Congratulations, Dr. Toups
Our favorite principal, Dr. Gerard Toups, was formally presented with his Diocese of Baton Rouge Distinguished Elementary Principal of the Year award by Bishop Robert Muench at the diocesan Mass in Donaldsonville on Friday, February 1.
Our greatest congratulations to Dr. Toups!
From the Principal:
Dear Parents,
A form is coming home today for parents to complete. The form is part of an application by the City of Ponchatoula for a grant to extend sidewalks from the school and install subsurface drainage. The official title of the grant proposal is Louisiana Safe Routes to School Program. The school has done significant work around the school to improve the ease of mobility around the school so any improvement in access to the school would be helpful. Please fill the form out and return it to the school ASAP. Thank you for your cooperation.
Friday is the collection for Adopt-a-Child. Your generosity is appreciated.
At Friday’s Mass we are also having the Induction Ceremony for the Beta Club. We will provide a list of the new members and a group picture on the website. Congratulations to these students for this excellent achievement.
Congratulations to the winners of the Religion Fair. The projects were beautiful. Thanks to the judges who gave their time to evaluate the projects.
Congratulations to the Cheerleaders for their success in recent competitions. The trophies and banners they have merited are simply symbols of the hard work and dedication they have invested over the years.
Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Varsity Basketball Teams. They will play for the NIAL Championships on Thursday at Holy Ghost. The results will be published after the Mardi Gras break.
Have a wonderful week. Be aware that Lent starts on Ash Wednesday. We will see you on Monday the 18th. That day is our Open House for parents of perspective students.
