Psalm 67

R. O God, let all the nations praise you!

May God have pity on us and bless us;
may he let his face shine upon us.
So may your way be known upon earth;
among all nations, your salvation.

R. O God, let all the nations praise you!

May the nations be glad and exult
because you rule the peoples in equity;
the nations on the earth you guide.

R. O God, let all the nations praise you!

May the peoples praise you, O God;
may all the peoples praise you!
May God bless us,
and may all the ends of the earth fear him!

R. O God, let all the nations praise you!

From the Principal

Dear Parents,

Please know that the effort to insure the safety of the students continues. When we heard about the shooting yesterday, all gates leading into the campus were checked to make sure they were locked. Doors leading into the buildings were locked. Staff members were stationed in such a manner that all areas of the campus could be monitored. Later the school received a phone call from Chief Layrisson that the school was not in the area of concern. Staff continued to be watchful and students were monitored. Recesses were held in the gymnasium.

Congratulations to Emily Ransom! Emily took first place at state literary rally for English I among Division V schools. Emily competed as an eighth grader on a ninth grade level course. This is the second year in a row that SJS has had the state winner in Englsh I.

Four St. Joseph Alumni who attend Ponchatoula High School were inducted into the 2013 Exclusives Club. Seniors in high school who score 28 or higher on their ACT test are members of the club. Scott Felder plans to attend LSU, Lane Perriloux will attend University of Louisiana at Monroe, Taylor Ransom will attend Tulane and Luke Yoes will attend Southeastern. Taylor is also to be congratulated for being named Senior Student of the Year for the District. It makes members of the St. Joseph School staff proud to see our students have success at the secondary level.
