Psalm 122

R. Let us go rejoicing to the house of the Lord

I rejoiced because they said to me,
“We will go up to the house of the LORD.”
And now we have set foot
within your gates, O Jerusalem.

R. Let us go rejoicing to the house of the Lord.

Jerusalem, built as a city
with compact unity.
To it the tribes go up,
the tribes of the LORD.

R. Let us go rejoicing to the house of the Lord.

According to the decree for Israel,
to give thanks to the name of the LORD.
In it are set up judgment seats,
seats for the house of David.

R. Let us go rejoicing to the house of the Lord.

Library Book Roundup

The library will be closing soon for the year, and that means that all library books will need to be returned.

It’s time to go on a hunt and round-up those missing books! Search under the bed, in your closet, in your cubby, and in your desk. We understand if you are still reading for AR, but if you aren’t please return the books that you no longer need.

If library books are not returned by the end of the year, they will be considered lost and a fee will be assessed.

Library Dates to Remember:

Last day for AR tests Friday, May 3.

8th grade books due Monday, May 6.

1st-7th grade books due Friday, May 10.

Summer Reading 2013

In order to simplify our program for Summer Reading, a few changes have been made.

Students going into grades 2-8 will no longer be given specific titles to read. Instead, a point requirement will be made. This will allow students to read more of the books that interest them.

These students will be graded by the amount of AR points that they obtain out of the amount that is required. As an added bonus, any points obtained that exceed the Summer Reading requirement will be added to the first quarter!

Students (grades 2-8) may read whatever book they choose as long as:
* it meets grade level requirements, and
* the student has never taken a test on the book before.

Students in grade 1 will be given specific titles to read because they are not familiar with the AR program yet.

Reading requirements and summer testing dates can be found on this website under the LIBRARY TAB.
