Psalm 148
R. Heaven and earth are full of your glory.Praise the LORD from the heavens;
praise him in the heights.
Praise him, all you his angels;
praise him, all you his hosts.
R. Heaven and earth are full of your glory.
Let the kings of the earth and all peoples,
the princes and all the judges of the earth,
Young men too, and maidens,
old men and boys.
R. Heaven and earth are full of your glory.
Praise the name of the LORD,
for his name alone is exalted;
His majesty is above earth and heaven.
R. Heaven and earth are full of your glory.
He has lifted up the horn of his people;
Be this his praise from all his faithful ones,
from the children of Israel, the people close to him.
Alleluia.
R. Heaven and earth are full of your glory.

The library will be closing soon for the year, and that means that all library books will need to be returned.It’s time to go on a hunt and round-up those missing books! Search under the bed, in your closet, in your cubby, and in your desk. We understand if you are still reading for AR, but if you aren’t please return the books that you no longer need.
If library books are not returned by the end of the year, they will be considered lost and a fee will be assessed.
Library Dates to Remember:
1st-7th grade books due Friday, May 10.
May Crowning
Christina Ernst, Clairanne Johnson, and Blair Atkins prepare to crown Our Lady during Mass on May 3.Clairanne crowned as Christina and Blair acted as Honor Guard. The second grade girls in their white First Communion dresses led the procession and each presented Our Lady with a white rose.
See all the pictures of the May Crowning at http://sjscrusaders.org/photo-albums/324.html.
Summer Reading
In order to simplify our program for Summer Reading, a few changes have been made.Students going into grades 2-8 will no longer be given specific titles to read. Instead, a point requirement will be made. This will allow students to read more of the books that interest them.
These students will be graded by the amount of AR points that they obtain out of the amount that is required. As an added bonus, any points obtained that exceed the Summer Reading requirement will be added to the first quarter!
Students (grades 2-8) may read whatever book they choose as long as:
* it meets grade level requirements, and
* the student has never taken a test on the book before.
Students in grade 1 will be given specific titles to read because they are not familiar with the AR program yet.
Reading requirements and summer testing dates can be found on this website under the LIBRARY TAB.
Yearbooks 2012-2013
Now's the time to order those yearbooks for the closing year 2012-2013.Yearbooks are much like last year's with over 100 full-color pages with lots and lots of pictures.
The cost of the yearbook is $40. The order form is on EDLINE. The money should be sent to the office in a marked envelope. Yearbooks will be delivered shortly after school starts in August.
