Psalm 130

R. If you, O Lord, mark iniquities, who can stand?

Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD
LORD, hear my voice!
Let your ears be attentive
to my voice in supplication.

R. If you, O Lord, mark iniquities, who can stand?

If you, O LORD, mark iniquities,
LORD, who can stand?
But with you is forgiveness,
that you may be revered.

R. If you, O Lord, mark iniquities, who can stand?

Let Israel wait for the LORD,
For with the LORD is kindness
and with him is plenteous redemption;
And he will redeem Israel
from all their iniquities.

R. If you, O Lord, mark iniquities, who can stand?

From the Principal

Dear Parents:

Today, raffle tickets went home for the football games. The raffle has been very successful in the past two years. Please pay close attention to the prizes for the most sales. This is a great opportunity to bring your child to a game.

Please know that the proceeds for the Raffle will go toward purchasing a new floor for the gymnasium, a most worthy project. The Home and School along with the Dad’s Club has made the gym a project for the current school year. Father McDuffie supports the effort to redo the floor. It is in need of attention. A successful effort will result in upgrading the gymnasium. Every child plays on that floor. It is used daily for physical education and for sports after school. Please do your best to support this worthy cause. Bring tickets to work. Both the Saints and the Tigers are having successful seasons. Everyone would like a chance to see the teams play in person.

Yesterday, the school ordered $900.00 of cases for the new i-Pads donated to the school. A cart has also been ordered to house and transport the devices. We will roll these devices out next nine-weeks so more of the students can become familiar with the use of the pads. We are also scheduling in-services for teachers in the lower grades so they might be able to use the pads in their classrooms. We are also planning to complete the installation of the Apple-TV’s in all the classrooms so that teachers will have more capability with the internet.

Progress continues everyday but all these items are expensive. Please help where you can. Every dollar that comes into the school is spent with care and with the needs of the students in mind.

The annual SJS Fall Festival will be Friday, October 18, from noon until 2:00 p.m.

All students in grades PreK- 3rd grade are asked to bring in one of the following:
***** homemade treat (ex. brownies, cookies, cupcakes, rice crispy treats, muffins, etc.) - treats need to be covered or in Ziplock bags.
***** juiceboxes
***** bottled waters

Please send in these items the week of the festival (October 14-18).

The 8th grade students will be hosting the games for the PreK-3rd grade students who will be attending the festival.

Students in 4th-7th grades will be on field trips during the festival.

PreK-3rd grade students will be at the festival playing games with prizes, face paitning, and will enjoy several inflatables set up in the gym. The school is selling armbands which allow these students unlimited game play and four tickets for refreshments. Each student attending the Fall Fest must have a grownup chaperone.

The armbands will be presold for $10 through October 14th. Please order on EDLINE. Orders after this date will be $12.

It is easier for everyone if the kids can get their armbands in the classroom prior to the festival. The presold armbands also allow the children to have more playtime.

Thank you and we are looking forward to another fun Fall Fest!
