Psalm 124
R. Our help is in the name of the Lord.Had not the LORD been with us,
let Israel say, had not the LORD been with us–
When men rose up against us,
then would they have swallowed us alive;
When their fury was inflamed against us.
R. Our help is in the name of the Lord.
Then would the waters have overwhelmed us;
The torrent would have swept over us;
over us then would have swept the raging waters.
Blessed be the LORD, who did not leave us
a prey to their teeth.
R. Our help is in the name of the Lord.
We were rescued like a bird
from the fowlers’ snare;
Broken was the snare,
and we were freed.
Our help is in the name of the LORD,
who made heaven and earth.
R. Our help is in the name of the Lord.
From the Principal
Dear Parents,Thanks to everyone who worked so hard for the Fall Fest. Thanks to room mothers, Home and School officers, parent volunteers and the Dad’s Club. The kids had a great time. I know the efforts it takes. There is a long stretch from Labor Day to Thanksgiving without a break, and the Fall Fest gives the kids a chance to blow off some steam after the first nine weeks.
This week is Red Ribbon Week. The students are watching videos in their physical education classes. Yesterday the school had crazy hair day. It was quite a scene. Students showed a great deal of imagination.
Please push the football tickets. The goal is to install a new floor in the gym. The cost of the floor is in excess of $30,000.00. There are some great prizes for the most ticket sales. Be assured that every dollar that is raised is used to better the academic program or upgrade the physical environment in which the students work and play. Thanks always for your support.
The cart for the i-Pads came in this week. The price tab for it was just under $3,000.00. Now we are able to store, charge, and transport the pads and the mini-pads around the school. The next step is to provide pads for the lower grade teachers. This will offer instructors with additional flexibility in their classrooms.
