Psalm 128

R. Blessed are those who fear the Lord.

Blessed are you who fear the LORD,
who walk in his ways!
For you shall eat the fruit of your handiwork;
blessed shall you be, and favored.

R. Blessed are those who fear the Lord.

Behold, thus is the man blessed
who fears the LORD.
The LORD bless you from Zion:
may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem
all the days of your life.

R. Blessed are those who fear the Lord.

Crusaders of the Month

Congratulations to our August Crusaders of the Month! This month we acknowledge Sean Bankston (2nd grade) as our Mini Crusader and Catherine Dahmer (8th grade) as our Crusaders.

Outstanding students are recognized each month at St. Joseph Catholic School. They are nominated by teachers as role models for other students and are each presented with a goody basket, a t-shirt, and a lunch with the principal at the end of the year.

Good job, Crusaders!

Food Drive

Each Wednesday students at St. Joseph Catholic School hold a food drive for local needy families. The children bring a bagged, canned, or boxed non-perishable food item and place that item in one of two large wagons as they enter the church for Mass.

Fourth graders Ally Pena, left, and Amy McLain show part of the collection from earlier this school year.

Crusaders at Mass

Our students and faculty are blessed to be able to celebrate Mass every Wednesday as a student body.

In the picture, from left, seventh grade students Emily Wilson, Cade Johnson, Bradley Atkins, Phoenix Lofton, and Maria Guay join hands while reciting the Lord's Prayer.

Theology of the Body - September 10

Everyone is invited to attend a six session course on St. John Paul II's Theology of the Body.

By reflecting on the Scripture, the Theology of the Ady addresses two of life's most challenging questions:
1. What does it mean to be human?
2. How do I live my life in a way that brings true happiness?

The Theology of the Body is renewing marriages, awakening vocations, healing deep personal wounds, and setting people free to live the life of greated for which they were created.

The courses will be held at St. Joseph Ministry Building on September 10, 17, 24, and October 8, 15, and 22. Times are from 6:00-7:30 each evening.

Attendance is free although a $15 donation for a workbook is suggested. The donation is not required.

Free childcare will be available.

For more information or to RSVP, please contact Rachael Perrin at 985-969-0151.
