Psalm 33

R. Blessed the people the Lord has chosen to be his own.

Blessed the nation whose God is the LORD,
the people he has chosen for his own inheritance.
From heaven the LORD looks down;
he sees all mankind.

R. Blessed the people the Lord has chosen to be his own.

From his fixed throne he beholds
all who dwell on the earth,
He who fashioned the heart of each,
he who knows all their works.

R. Blessed the people the Lord has chosen to be his own.

Our soul waits for the LORD,
who is our help and our shield,
For in him our hearts rejoice;
in his holy name we trust.

R. Blessed the people the Lord has chosen to be his own.

Partners in Faith

Partners in Faith is a periodic publicaion designed especially to give Catholic parents the practical help and support needed to raise faithful Catholic children.

It is filled with actionable ideas parents can use to build a Christ-centered family life, to increase in knowledge of the Catholic faith, and to grow in devotion to the sacraments.

Partners in Faith uses friendly, everyday language that is easy to read and absorb in just a few minutes.

As a service to our parents, St. Joseph Catholic School will share this important publication with our parents through the online newsletter. We hope everyone finds it helpful and informative.

Theology of the Body - September 10

Everyone is invited to attend a six session course on St. John Paul II's Theology of the Body.

By reflecting on the Scripture, the Theology of the Ady addresses two of life's most challenging questions:
1. What does it mean to be human?
2. How do I live my life in a way that brings true happiness?

The Theology of the Body is renewing marriages, awakening vocations, healing deep personal wounds, and setting people free to live the life of greated for which they were created.

The courses will be held at St. Joseph Ministry Building on September 10, 17, 24, and October 8, 15, and 22. Times are from 6:00-7:30 each evening.

Attendance is free although a $15 donation for a workbook is suggested. The donation is not required.

Free childcare will be available.

For more information or to RSVP, please contact Rachael Perrin at 985-969-0151.

We Text, Too

Our Sunday evening robo-call has an additional feature that allows those with text options on their cell phones to opt-in to also receiving text messages from the school.

This is a great feature for use in emergency situations.

This is also a great feature for those who desire more frequent reminders about what's going on at school during the week.

Opt-in for texts is easy. Just text the word ALERT to 22300 from the phone used to receive texts.

If at any time opting-out is required, the instructions are written at the bottom of the text.

** NOTE - The text only works if you are in our system. If you sign up and no texts are evident, please contact the office to add that number to our system.
