Veterans’ Day

Our St. Joseph family would like to cordially invite any family members who are veterans, to join us in a celebration of honor. Students will do a presentation in the school gym during our regular morning assembly on Wednesday, November 11, and we welcome our veterans. Morning assembly begins at 7:35 and our presentation will immediately follow morning prayer. Please join us!

Group Night with the New Orleans Pelicans

Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015

Pelicans vs. Phoenix Suns @ 5:00pm

Order on RenWeb & send payment to the school office.Our group will receive the following:

*Pelicans JERSEY: Each lower level ticket will receive a replica AD jersey at the game.

*Group Picture: Our group will be allowed on the floor after the game to take a group photo on the court.

*Jumbotron: Our group name will be posted on the Jumbotron at halftime.

*Halftime Fan Tunnel: some of our group will be allowed to go on the court to form a fan tunnel and high-five the Pelicans players.

*Special Rate: Special ticket rate of $35 per ticket. (Regular price is $70.)

Lower level seats are on the first level of the arena.

Come experience a New Orleans Pelicans game with our St. Joseph School Group. The game is during the holiday break, so the students don’t have school that day. Our tickets will be together in a large group and you must order by this Friday, Nov. 6th.

Altar Serving Training

Altar Server Training

On Sunday, November 15, 2015, at 3 pm, there will be registration and initial training for new Altar Servers. Those interested in becoming Altar Servers must currently be enrolled in the 4th through 12th grade (born prior to September 30, 2006) and practicing their Catholic faith (Baptized and have received the Sacrament of First Communion). Registration will take place in the narthex of church. We ask that at least one parent accompany their child; there are registration forms to be completed and also information necessary for parents throughout this initial training.

Crusaders of the Month


St. Joseph School recognized Molly McCarroll and Thomas Kyle as their Crusaders of the Month for the month of September. Students are nominated by faculty and staff. Students receive a certificate and their picture is displayed on the Crusader Wall of Fame. Thanks to Berrytown Produce for donating the basket of goodies presented to our students each month. Congratulations Molly and Thomas!

Cafeteria News


CAFETERIA NEWS!

According to the Baton Rouge Diocese Cafeteria rules:

Lunches may be brought from home by students and parents.
No carbonated beverages are allowed.
Food brought from home should be healthy and not in fast food wrappers or containers.
No Fast food wrappers or containers allowed in cafeteria.
Parents can only bring food for their child – Not other students.

BE A FALCON FOR A DAY!!! 7th and 8th graders are invited to come shadow a STA freshmen and find out what it is like to be a Falcon. Please call 985-542-8941 to schedule your students shadow day. We have days available from October 20th through December 4th.

Silly Sweater Run

St. Joseph’s Silly Sweater

5K Run & 1 Mile Fun Run

St Joseph will host it's first Silly Sweater Run on Saturday, December 12, 2015. Please come dressed in your silliest Christmas sweater. We will have a prize for the silliest sweater worn. Both the 1 mile and the 5K will be held in the vicinity of St. Joseph Catholic School. There will be 1 water station along the 5K route. Tshirt will be guaranteed to runners who pre-registered by November 30. The St. Joseph 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run will benefit students of St. Joseph Catholic School.
