Mother Seton Award
Angelique is married to Wil Richardson and has three children, Annabelle, 11, Walker, 4, and Fisher, 3 months. Her parents are Doug and Johanna Daigle. Angelique and her brother, Joey, grew up in Ponchatoula, and attended St. Joseph School. She advanced to St. Thomas Aquinas and graduated from Tulane University. She has lived in New Orleans and Dallas, and returned home to raise her children in Ponchatoula and send them to St. Joseph School, where her daughter, Anna, is currently in 6th grade.
Angelique has served St. Joseph Parish in many capacities. First, she has enjoyed being her daughters' Room Mom since first grade. She has also served on the Advisory Council for the school for several years. Initially, she served as the Council's Vice President and she currently holds the office of President. She is the Chair of the Finance Committee, a new sub committee of the Advisory Council. She has been active on the Fair Committee and enjoys helping the school with any other special projects and fund raisers. She especially likes volunteering time to teach Junior Achievement, a financial literacy program, in the classroom. She has volunteered at other local schools for years with J.A., and has done several individual lessons for her daughters' classes at St. Joseph over the years.
Angelique is also active with the church and serves on the Core Committee for St. Joseph. She had been a lector in all parishes she attended over the years for close to 20 years. After becoming a mother, she recognized her calling to one of her favorite volunteer efforts is the Children's Liturgy, where she prepares fun lessons and games for the children to help teach them the scriptures on Sunday. Angelique is very involved in the community as well. She is currently the Media and Public Relations Chair for Leadership Tangipahoa, a program that helps develop leaders in the parish. She was the recipient of the Rotarian of the Year Award in 2015 for her service to the Ponchatoula Rotary Club, of which she was President in 2015 and was Secretary for over 6 years years before that. She has also been recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow and was the recipient of the Addie Morris Service Award in 2010, for her dedicated service to the community, including her involvement with Relay for Life. She has coached youth basketball in the past. All this while working more than full time as the CFO of Jani-King. She is a member of the AICPA and the Louisiana Society of CPAs. As a CPA, she also donates her time each tax season to prepare tax returns for elderly in our community, and she volunteers her notary services to them, as well, all free of charge.
Crusader of the Month
St. Joseph recently recognized 2nd grader Brady Easley and 5th grader Carter Alston as Crusaders of the Month for March.
