A note from Mrs. Ragusa
As we prepare to enjoy a week with family and friends for this Thanksgiving holiday, I am reminded of a Thanksgiving week five years ago when my family was absorbing the news that our 17-year-old daughter had cancer and would be leaving for St. Jude in a matter of weeks to begin treatment. It was overwhelming and at the same time we were bombarded with blessings that carried us through that very difficult and long three-year journey. God does not promise that our life will be easy, but He does promise to always be with us through every step and He loves us unconditionally. We are blessed that my daughter is in remission and becoming the woman that God intends her to be. My prayer for you and your family during this time is that you would put down the distractions and discomforts of this world and focus on the immeasurable blessings that God gives us each day including this wonderful school and family of St. Joseph. We pray with you and for you that our school family will continue to grow and strength our love and faith every day.
Veterans Day
St. Joseph School welcomed several veterans and active duty relatives and friends of our students and faculty, The many men and women participated in a small tribute of thanks during the school's morning assembly for their service to our country in honor of Veteran's Day.
White Table for Veterans Day
St. Joseph School 5th grade students led the White Table Ceremony as their school honored veterans on Veteran's Day. The White Table Ceremony, also known as the Fallen Comrade Table, is in memory of fallen, missing, or imprisoned military service-members.
Dinner Auction
St. Joseph School would like to say thank you to everyone who came out to support our first annual Dinner, Dance, and Auction. It was a wonderful night shared by all. A special THANK YOU to our Dinner, Dance, & Auction Committee for turning the gym into a BEAUTIFUL venue and a successful night. We are already looking forward to next year's event!
