NO SCHOOL
On Friday, May 5th, SJS will be closed due to the Spring Fair. Parents will be setting up all day to prepare for the opening of the fair at 5:00 pm.
May Birthdays
Any student who has a birthday in May can celebrate by having a free dress day on May 2nd. Be sure to follow the dress code rules.
Tuition
Full payment of tuition to the school or First NBC online loan application completed is due by Friday, April 28, 2017.
If arrangements are not made for tuition or the loan by Friday, April 28, 2017, an additional $100 per student late fee will be charged.
New Spirit Shirts
Order forms for new spirit shirts will go home before this school year ends and will be delivered to students at the beginning of next school year.
***Students may wear the current spirit shirt for the next school year. They will be completely phased out for the 2018-2019 school year.
May Crowning
May Crowning will be on Wednesday, May 3 at 9:30am in the church. Students are encouraged to bring a flower to present to Mary.
Spring Fair Deadlines
Friday is the deadline to turn in raffle tickets for the Golf Cart and $1000 TO COUNT TOWARD THE CONTEST (student who sells the most tickets).
You can still turn in raffle tickets and money after this date, but it will not count toward the contest.
ALSO, Friday is the deadline to PRE-ORDER your All-Weekend ride band for the Spring Fair at the discounted price of $50. After this date, you will have to wait til fair weekend and the price will then be $80.
Cafeteria News
Monday May 1st - no charging after this date
Friday April 29th - last day to accept checks as payment. Cash will be accepted anytime.
May 19th - last day for parents to request a refund of any amount (Contact Mrs. Rhonda Caronna for the form.)
**Any funds remaining in cafeteria account will roll over to next school year. (Including 8th graders going to St. Thomas Aquinas)
**8th graders not going on to St. Thomas Aquinas, can transfer any remaining funds into their brothers or sisters account but, it must be in writing in order for this to be done.

Coffee with the Counselor
If you are interested in attending coffee with the counselor, please RSVP as soon as possible. It will be held May 2nd (grade 1st - 4th) and May 4th (grades 5th - 8th.) See attached flyer for more details.

Spring Fair Sign Up
Have you signed up to work for the Spring Fair? Any child who's parent/guardian works for the Spring Fair will be able to wear ANY kind of tennis shoes to school for THE WHOLE WEEK AFTER THE FAIR. Parents, make sure to check in at the sign-in table.
Fun Run at STA
STA will hold a 5K run on May 13th. For all details about this event please see the flyer below.

Silent Auction
The Silent Auction Committee is seeking local businesses interested in donating to our auction. Donating an item or a service is great advertisement for local businesses and the logo or company name will be displayed for thousands of local shoppers to see. If you or someone you know owns a local business and would consider donating please contact Brigette Hyde at 985-969-1744 or Lynsie Daigle at 985-215-7958.
Holey Board
This year at the Spring Fair we will hold a Children's Holey Board Tournament as well as an Adult Tournament. To register, print and return the forms below.
Stuffed Animals
LOOKING FOR STUFFED ANIMALS
Our Spring Fair is in need of stuffed animals for the Prize Booth. Please send new or gently used and washed stuffed animals to the gym for the Spring Fair. Thank you for your support!
Confetti Eggs
Please send clean eggshells to school for the confetti egg booth.
How to clean eggshells:
1. Make a quarter sized hole at the top of the raw egg.
2. Pour out raw egg and rinse.
3. Place back in carton.
4. Drop off all egg cartons in the gym.

Be sure to write your name and class on the carton. Students will receive CRUSADER CASH for each carton.
