Word of the Week
We begin every Monday with a virtue or character trait and a Bible verse for everyone to focus on for the week. These words will encourage us and be helpful reminders to follow our school expectations and be Crusaders for Christ on and off campus.
Our word of the week is Responsibility.
Bible Verse: " In all the work you are given, do the best you can. Work as though you are working for the Lord, not an earthly master." Colossians 3:23.

In Case You Missed It
Here's what you missed at the Home & School Meeting:
Spring Fair - The committee has already begun the work to make this year's fair a success. If you would like to be a part of the core committee who organize and work behind the scenes, please contact Mr. Scott Reeves (kabreeves@yahoo.com) for more information. We are also looking for a few parents to chair a few of our main activities of the fair. Please see the list below and contact Mr. Reeves if you would like to volunteer.
Dinner, Dance, & Auction - Save the Date - October 21st - Theme is Throwback Prom; Dinner by Jacmel and Desserts by The Cocoa Bean Bakery; D.J. Jazzy George providing music; silent auction.
Parent Volunteer Hours - Every family is required to work a minimum of 4 hours at either the Strawberry Festival Parking or Spring Fair fundraiser. If a family has not worked their 4 hours by the end of the year, they will be billed $400. This is stated in handbook on p. 24 as seen below -
The School Advisory Council and Administration believe St. Joseph School is very blessed to have two fundraisers that provide the majority of the funds used to assist with purchasing necessary supplies for the school and contribute to projects that will improve the quality of our campus and academic settings. We recognize that time is valuable and families are very busy, but it takes all of our families to make these events a success. Parents/Guardians are required to work a minimum of 4 hours between the Strawberry Festival Parking and Spring Fair events, which are the school’s largest fundraisers. When the Strawberry Festival Parking volunteer spots are filled, parents will need to complete their hours at the Spring Fair. If these four (4) volunteer hours are not completed, a family will be charged $400. This fee will be due before the end of the current school year and may not be financed with tuition.
Tithing
If the parent is a registered, financially supporting member of St. Joseph Catholic Parish, a tuition benefit is available to that parent. To qualify for tuition as a financially supporting parishioner, a family’s weekly contribution to St. Joseph Church should be a minimum of $8.00/week ($416 annually). These contributions are to be made in full by December 31, 2017. Contributions made after December 31, 2017 will not count toward tithing for 2017 and tuition rates will not be adjusted for the next school year (2018-2019). Regular use of the Sunday envelope is necessary as a sign of financial support of the Church.
