Fall Fest

Pre-K – 4th Grade

Pre-K through 4th grade levels will attend Fall Fest at various times throughout the day. This will provide students with greater access to the games.

The schedule is as follows:

Pre-K 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

Kindergarten 10:15 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.

1st & 2nd Grade 11:50 a.m. – 1:05 p.m.

3rd & 4th Grade 1:10 p.m. – 2:20 p.m.

Students will only be allowed to attend at their designated time to ensure maximum play time for all students.

All PreK- 3rd grade students are asked to bring in one dozen of one of the following:
***** homemade treat (ex. brownies, cookies, cupcakes, rice crispy treats, muffins, etc.) - treats need to be individually wrapped.

4th grade students are asked to bring one box of juice pouches

Please send in these items the week of the festival (October 23-27)

The 8th grade students will be hosting the games for the PreK-4th grade students who will be attending the festival.

PreK-4th grade students will be at the festival playing games with prizes, face painting, and will enjoy several inflatables. Students will also receive several refreshments.

5th – 7th Grade

Our 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students will remain on campus and participate in a separate event that will take place on campus. Students do not need to bring anything for this activity.

The schedule is as follows:

5th, 6th, and 7th 12:00noon – 2:15 p.m.

Students in 5th – 7th may wear spirit dress with their SJS spirit shirt or Fall Fest shirt and FREE SHOES.

Students in 5th-7th grades will have pizza, popcorn, drink, sweet treats, and a movie. Students will choose from a selection of movies. They will have a pizza picnic on the front lawn and then move to the “movie theater” (classrooms) of the movie they selected. They will be given popcorn and sweet treats during the movie.

Boys soccer practice will begin at a later date.

Raffle Ticket Winners!

Congratulations to the winners of the Saints tickets – Luke Higgs and Ryan Hedrick. We made over $2000.00! Thank you to everyone who helped with this raffle.

Retakes

Pictures: Thursday, November 2rd

Class pictures and absentee/retakes will be next Thursday, November 2nd. All students should be in their school uniform. ALL order forms must be turned in no later than that morning.
Order forms with notes attached were sent home for those students who were absent for their individual pictures.
If your child is needing to take retakes, you must return the FULL package that you received. That package will be given to the photographer.

Veterans Day!

Veterans Day Program – November 10th – 7:45 a.m. in the gym

Please invite all family members who are veterans to join us for this special program.

Our virtue of the month for October is Reverence

All Saints Day

Mass- All Saints Day - On November 1st, 6th grade students will represent the Saints in our opening procession.

Yearbook

Order Forms for the 2016-2017 (LAST YEAR) yearbooks went home last week. Please fill out the form and return to school with payment. The yearbook is hard-covered and has almost 100 beautiful colored pictures of the memories of SJS for the 2016-2017 school year! The price for the yearbook is $40.

No Field Trips

No Field Trips – Due to a change in our school insurance coverage, school buses are no longer covered for field trips. We will be planning “stay-cations” this year and bringing interesting and fun activities to our school!
