Testing!
3rd-8th grade – Our students will be taking the summative ACT Aspire test next week. This is a test we prepare for all year through our daily instruction. Students do not need to study. Parents you can help us to be ready by doing these simple, but important tasks:
- Be sure your child gets a good night’s sleep each night.
- Give your child a good breakfast each morning so their brain has lots of fuel for testing.
- Be on time for school each morning and do not plan any check-outs on testing days.
- Be positive and encourage your child to do their best each day so we can all see how smart our SJS students are! Our 5th – 8th grade students scores will be used as a component of determining placement in advanced classes and end of year awards.
**Students will be testing Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (April 23rd-25th).
**Students in 3rd-8th will not have homework Monday or Tuesday night.
Care Package
Student Council Needs Your Help!!
Last day to collect items needed is this Friday, April 20th.
Our Project: We will be putting together Chemo Care Packages in honor of Gavin (our SJS friend who has Pre B Leukemia). We will make a very special package for Gavin. As well, we will send packages to the rest of the children at his hospital who also have cancer. We are hoping this will brighten up their day!
How you can help: We need your donations. See the list below of items you may donate. There will be a box by the carpool line in the mornings and the afternoons for items to be dropped off. The collection will start the week after Easter and last for two weeks.
(April 9-April 20)
