TARC'S Annual Penny Power fundraiser
St. Joseph's 1st graders are bringing TARC's annual Penny Power fundraiser to our school. Funds raised will assist TARC (Teach, Assit, Reach, Connect) in providing opportunities for children and adults with disabilities in our local community. Homerooms will receive a jar to fill with any type of money denomination. Any class that collects at least $75 will be treated to a pizza party. If each student brings about $3.50 they will reach their goal! Donations may be brought in November 5-9. Please help us make this a success for a much deserving organization!
If the parent is a registered, financially supporting member of St. Joseph Catholic Parish, a tuition benefit is available to that parent. To qualify for tuition as a financially supporting parishioner, a family’s weekly contribution to St. Joseph Church should be a minimum of $8.00/week ($416 annually). These contributions are to be made in full by December 31, 2018. Contributions made after December 31, 2018 will not count toward tithing for 2018 and tuition rates will not be adjusted for the next school year (2018-2019). Regular use of the Sunday envelope is necessary as a sign of financial support of the Church.
See 2018-2019 Parent Handbook pg.21

A form went home with all students today regarding their tithing envelope number. Please be sure to review the information on the form and only return it if you have any changes that need to be made.

Our word of the week is Gratitude.
Bible verse: "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." 1 Thessalonians 5:18.
The Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, formerly referred to as "Christ the King," was established by Pope Pius XI in 1925 as an antidote to secularism, a way of life which leaves God out of man's thinking and living and organizes his life as if God did not exist. The feast is intended to proclaim in a striking and effective manner Christ's royalty over individuals, families, society, governments, and nations. -catholicculture.org St. Joseph's parish family is kicking off our stewardship of Prayer series with this invitation to prayer and feasting on the last Sunday of our Liturgical year!
