Tour of the Church Presentation

Thursday at 6:00 P.M. at St. Joseph Church- Tour of the Church Presentation with Mike Fulmer

Mass participation begins with understanding! This tour of the church will answer questions you may have about the Catholic Church and the many parts that deem it a true place of sacred worship.

We will study and observe:

  • The meaning and reasons why we sit, stand and kneel in the manner and order that we do.
  • The expecially important reliogious items and sacred objects inside the church.
  • The origin and meaning of words and prayers that we say in Mass.

All people of all faiths are welcome!

Beta Club

The BETA club will be having a Bake Sale this weekend of February 9th and 10th. The sale will take place after all the weekend mass times. The money raised will be used to help with the fees for the state convention. Please stop by and support the SJS BETA club!

Penny Power

Friday afternoon all students will have pizza as our prize for the great job of raising money for TARC! Our school was the 2nd highest in collections for this great organization.

The fair committee has decided to offer a tuition raffle. Every family will have the opportunity to purchase 1 ticket per the number of enrolled students for $25. Example would be if you have a student in 1st and 3rd you would be able to purchase 2 tickets. We will also be giving any new student that registers for the 2019 - 2020 school year, a chance to purchase a ticket as well. We will only be selling 550 tickets total. The drawing will be held on Thursday April 11th during morning assembly. The deadline to purchase your allotted 1 ticket per enrolled student will be Tuesday March 12th. On Wednesday March 13th, we will send a notice home offering for anyone to purchase additional tickets that have not been sold. For example, on Tuesday March 12th if we have sold 250 tickets then on Wednesday March 13th 300 tickets will be available for first come first sold until we sell all 550 or until the drawing date. If you win the raffle you will receive the value of an in parish student minus the registration cost. For example, St. Joseph Church Parish Families paid $4500 for the 2019 - 2020 school year. The check will be made out to the school and will have the family name on the memo line so that the office can apply it correctly. Attention 8th Grade Parents: St. Thomas Aquinas has agreed to accept the money from our raffle to be used towards their tuition for the 2019- 2020 school year. If your child is planning on attending St. Thomas, you are still eligible for this raffle at the value of an in parish St. Joseph Student.

We rely on the support of our sponsorships from businesses as well as individuals to make our Spring Fair successful. Our community will be made aware of your support. We will have recognition in our church bulletin and school newsletter.
