Report cards were sent home today. This year, 1st-3rd quarter Report Cards are on white paper and are being sent home with Wednesday Packets. Please keep the report card for your records. The report card can also be accessed on RenWeb. The last Report Card of the year will be mailed to the student's home address.
We need your help!
If you can donate can goods to our food pantry please remember to send them with your student on Wednesday. Thanksgiving is near and we would like to help feed those in need. Thank you for helping us spread kindness!
Basketball Sign Up!
Boys & Girls Basketball Sign-Up sheets will be up in the gym. If your 5th - 8th grade student is interested in playing basketball this 2019-2020 season, make sure they sign up on the sign up sheet located in the gym by Friday, October 18th. Student must sign up in order to try out.
Soccer Sign Up!
Boys & Girls Soccer Sign-Up sheets will be up in the gym. If your 5th - 8th grade student is interested in playing soccer this 2019-2020 season, make sure they sign up on the sign up sheet located in the gym by Wednesday, October 23rd.

Jr. Beta Club Fundraiser-TWO MORE DAYS!
Fall Fest Queen/King
The Jr. Beta Club will be sponsoring the Fall Fest Queen/ King Fundraiser again this year.We will be taking votes tomorrow and Friday, October 17th & 18th. Students can bring in quarters to vote for the teacher that would make the best Queen or King of Fall Fest. The teacher that has the most money donated under his or her name will be crowned during assembly on the day of Fall Fest. All donations for this fundraiser will go toward buying library books for a school in need. Bring your change in and vote!
Permission Forms!
PreK-4th grade Permission Forms are due no later than Wednesday, October 23rd.
5th-7th grade forms are due by Monday, October 21st.

Fall Fest ! Friday, October 25th
Pre-K – 4th Grade
Pre-K through 4th grade levels will attend Fall Fest at various times throughout the day. This will provide students with greater access to the games.
The schedule is as follows:
Pre-K & Kindergarten 9:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.
1st & 2nd Grade 10:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
3rd & 4th Grade 12:15 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Students will only be allowed to attend at their designated time to ensure maximum play time for all students.
All PreK- 4th grade students are asked to bring in one dozen of one of the following:
· PreK – one dozen individually wrapped brownies
· Kindergarten – one dozen individually wrapped cookies
· 1st grade – one dozen muffins/cupcakes
· 2nd grade – individually wrapped rice krispie treats
· 3rd grade – a dozen small individual bags of popcorn or chips
· 4th grade – box of juice pouches
Please send in these items the week of the festival (October 22-26)
The 8th grade students will be hosting the games for the PreK-4th grade students who will be attending the festival.
PreK-4th grade students will be at the festival playing games with prizes, face painting, and will enjoy several inflatables. Students will also receive several refreshments.
5th – 7th Grade
Our 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students will remain on campus and participate in a separate event that will take place on campus. Students do not need to bring anything for this activity.
The schedule is as follows:
5th, 6th, and 7th 11:45 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.
Students in 5th – 7th may wear spirit dress with their SJS spirit shirt or Fall Fest shirt and FREE SHOES.
Students in 5th-7th grades will have pizza, popcorn, drink, sweet treats, and a movie. Students will choose from a selection of movies. They will have a pizza picnic on the front lawn and then move to the “movie theater” (classrooms) of the movie they selected. They will be given popcorn and sweet treats during the movie.
2018-2019 School Year
Order forms were sent home today. If you would like to order last year's 2018/2019 yearbook please send the order form and money in no later than Friday, October 25th. (FYI: If your child is now in PreK or it is his/her first year here, you are welcome to purchase a yearbook, but being your child wasn't a student here in 2018/2019, he/she won't be in it.)

Red Ribbon Week!
Red Ribbon Week is next week October 21st -25th
"Send a message. Stay Drug Free." is the national theme of Red Ribbon Week! Each day students and teachers will celebrate being Drug Free!
Monday - "Red"y to live a drug-free life. Students may wear red shirts with school appropriate jeans, socks, and school shoes.
Tuesday - "Sock it to Drugs" - Wear crazy socks to school with your uniform.
Wednesday - "Hats" off to drugs - wear a hat to school AFTER MASS
Thursday - "Team Up Against Drugs" - Wear your favorite team shirt with school appropriate jeans, socks, and school shoes.
Friday - "Say BOO to drugs" - Spirit dress with Fall Fest shirt or spirit shirt for FALL FEST
SJS - Pelicans Game!
New Orleans Pelicans vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
Game Day: Sunday, December 1st @ 4:00pm
Location: New Orleans Arena-Smoothie King Center
Ticket Cost: $35 per person
· Each ticket includes a Pelicans Beanie (Pelicans Exclusive Group Souvenir Game)
· Each ticket includes a Food Voucher (Est.$5 value)
· Balcony Sideline Seating
· School Name on Jumbo Screen
· Order forms were sent home last week in the Wednesday packet
· Tickets (sold first come first served -Limited Seats)
*Fan Tunnel: 15 people from our group will be allowed to go on the court to form a fan tunnel and high-five the Pelicans players. We will pull 15 tickets. This drawing will be done at school the week before the game.
*National Anthem: We will also have our SJS-Pelicans Performers represent St. Joseph School by singing the National Anthem on center court before the game.
