St. Joseph School will remain closed Thursday and Friday. Stay Safe!

Room Parents have not been forgotten!

With the new guidelines of social distancing in the current Covid-19 phase, there are certain things we are unable to do at this time. One being our social activities, which is where Room Parent assignments fall. With the restrictions in place, we will hold off on assigning Room Parents. We plan to revisit this should our social distancing phase change. Thank you all for your continued support and for a great start to an unpredictable new school year.

UPCOMING FEAST DAY: AUGUST 22ND

THE QUEENSHIP OF MARY-

ONE OF THE TRADITIONAL CHARACTERISTICS OF ROYALTY IS SOMEONE WHO LEADS AN ARMY INTO BATTLE. BEFORE ISRAEL HAD A KING, THEY WOULD GO INTO BATTLE LED BY THE ARK OF THE COVENANT, WHICH REPRESENTED THE PRESENCE OF ALMIGHTY GOD IN THEIR MIDST. EVENTUALLY, THE ARK OF THE COVENANT WAS LOST TO HISTORY. HOWEVER, CHRISTIANS SEE MARY, THE MOTHER OF JESUS, AS THE NEW “ARK OF THE COVENANT”—ONE WHO BEARS WITHIN HER THE PRESENCE OF THE KING OF KINGS. ON AUGUST 22, WE CELEBRATE THE FEAST OF THE QUEENSHIP OF MARY AND CONSIDER HOW THE BOOK OF REVELATION TELLS US OF THE APPEARANCE OF A REGAL WOMAN ABOUT TO GIVE BIRTH RIGHT BEFORE A GREAT BATTLE BETWEEN GOOD AND EVIL. CATHOLICS SEE THIS MYSTERIOUS WOMAN AS MARY—THE NEW ARK OF THE COVENANT—AND HER CHILD AS THE KING WHO LEADS US INTO BATTLE VERSUS EVIL ARMED WITH MERCY, COMPASSION, JUSTICE, FAITH, HOPE, AND CHARITY.
