March Crusaders
Congratulations to 2nd grader Addison Verdin and 6th grader Sarah McKinney. They are our March Crusaders of the Month. They were recognized during morning assembly, given a certificate, and presented with a basket of goodies donated by Berrytown Produce. We are so proud of these sweet Crusaders!

SJS SPRING FAIR RAFFLE TICKETS
Each student received 20 green raffle tickets. The cost is $10.00 per ticket.
GRAND PRIZE
$10,000 CASH
SECOND PLACE PRIZE:
One SJS Student tuition or $3,500 CASH for non SJS Families.
THIRD PLACE PRIZE:
$2,000 CASH
STUDENT INCENTIVES
FIRST PLACE
The student who sells the MOST raffle tickets will receive a prize pack worth $350.
SECOND PLACE:
The student that comes in second place for the most tickets sold will receive a weekend ride band.
All students that sell a minimum of 50 raffle tickets will receive a voucher for 20 game tickets that they can use to play the games at the fair.
All students who sell 30 raffle tickets will be allowed to wear any tennis shoes on the day chosen by Mrs. Ragusa.
All tickets must be turned in by April 22nd in order to be considered fo this contest.

2022 St. Joseph Catholic School Spring Fair
Jambalaya and Pastalaya Pre-Sale
The cook-off committee is now offering pre-sales for pans of jambalaya and pastalaya.
Pans can be picked up at the fair after 11:00 on Saturday or anytime during the fair on Sunday at the SJS food booth.
Claim tickets will be sent home in students’ fair packets with other fair related pre-orders.

Jambalaya & Pastalaya Cook-Off
Saturday, April 30th, 2022
7:00am-11:00am: Setup, Cooking and Trash Talk
11:00am-Noon: Sampling, Judging and Awards Presentation
Noon: Jambalaya and Pastalaya go on sale at the Food Booth
Rules:
Contestants bring their own supplies and ingredients.
Entries are limited to 5 pounds of rice and/or pasta plus ingredients.
Prizes:
Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd will be given by the Judges in each category,
Two prizes per winning team will be given.

The Fair Committee is pleased to announce the return of GoldStar Amusemnets as our ride company for our 2022 Spring Fair. This year they will have 15+ rides for your enjoyment.
Our session times will be four hours each, except on Sunday. There will always be a session you can buy to get the most value. The sessions will be $25.00 each. The sessions will be:
Friday 4pm- 6pm: SJS Students that purchased the All Weekend Ride Pass ONLY
Friday 6pm-10pm: SJS families and the General Public
Saturday: 10am-2pm; 2pm-6pm; 6pm-11pm
Sunday: 12pm-6pm
The committee will also have a PAY ONE PRICE ALL WEEKEND pass. The pass will be good for the entire fair (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and the cost is $60.00 each, pre-sale. If you want to buy them the weekend of the fair the cost will be $75.00 each. If you buy every individual session during the fair, it would cost you $125.00.
The pre-sale offer for the “ALL WEEKEND RIDE PASS” is ONLY available until Thursday, April 14th, 2022. You will be able to redeem your voucher anytime during the fair, but a special line will be set up on Friday from 3pm-4pm where the voucher can be redeemed early. We are NOT pre-selling the individual ride sessions.

Summer VBS 2022
Summer VBS Registration is open now until APRIL 30.

Sweet Booth
2022 St. Joseph Catholic School Spring Fair
Each year the fair committee requests parents help with homemade treats for the sweet booth. No quantity is too big or too small! We ask that you send in your items precut and individually wrapped. Please read below to see the list of what each grade level is asked to donate.
Pre-Kindergarten: Brownies
Kindergarten: Brownies
1st Grade: 2”-3” Cookies
2nd Grade: 2”-3” Cookies
3rd Grade: 2”-3” Cookies
4th Grade: Rice Krispie Treats
5th Grade: Rice Krispie Treats
6th through 8th Grade: $10 donation – this is to help with expenses for our strawberry shortcakes, ice cream sundaes and for the purchase of soft drinks and wine for the fair games.
If you are not culinary inclined but wish to help, monetary donations are always appreciated. Those donations can be sent to the office in an envelope labeled “Sweet Booth”.
We will start collecting sweets in the school office on Monday, April 25th and Tuesday, April 26th. On Wednesday, April 27th and Thursday, April 28th we will be collecting the items in morning carpool. If your child rides the bus, please send it with him/her and we will collect it before morning assembly. If you have any questions please email sjsfair@gmail.com or call the school office.

John 8:1-11: In today’s Gospel, people want to make a woman who has done something wrong suffer for it. Jesus tells the people that all of us are sinful and need forgiveness. Jesus brought the woman forgiveness and tells her to live as a person of faith.
